HAND MICROTOME SIMPLE
For introductory biology and histology work. Suitable for slicing micro thin sections from 0.01mm (10 microns). Consists of a piston screwed into a tube whose free end is fixed into a flat plate serving as a stage. The knurled head at the bottom of the instrument moves the piston up or down the central tube when rotated. The specimen is fixed on the flat top of the piston and sections are cut by drawing a razor over the upper flat surface of the instrument. Equipped with a clamping mechanism for objects of different shapes. Graduated in 10-micron (0.01mm) steps. Advances 500 microns (0.50mm) for each complete turn. Supplied with a single edge tempered steel razor knife. Packed in a velvet lined wooden case.

TISSUE FORCEPS
To grasp and separate the skin and connective tissue on specimens during dissection. A deep V groove on one jaw accommodates a tooth on the other jaw (1 x 2 teeth). It is also called a rat-toothed forcep because of this unique design. With serrated sides. Made of stainless steel.
