 CAPILLARY TUBE SET (COMMUNICATING CAPILLARIES)

For demonstrating that capillary rise is dependent upon the inner diameter of a tube. Proves that the molecules of a liquid are more attracted to glass than to other liquid molecules.
Consists of four glass capillary tubes of different inner diameters with a large tube serving as reservoir. Mounted on a stand. Height of the tubes is about 15cm..

Cat. No.

3447-00

EQUILIBRIUM TUBES (CONSTANT LEVEL TUBES, COMMUNICATING VESSELS)

For showing that liquid levels are independent of shapes of the containing vessel and liquid will rise to the same level in the vessel, regardless of its shape.
Consists of a reservoir and three tubes of borosilicate glass of same internal diameter but different shapes. Mounted on a stand.

Cat. No.

3448-00

 PASCAL VASES

For demonstrating that the pressure of a liquid at the bottom of a vessel is proportional to the depth of the liquid and is independent of the volume and shape of the vessel.
Consists of three borosilicate glass vessels of different shapes, open at both ends, having ground edges and bottom openings of equal size. Provided with plastic disks and attached hooks and strings so that when vessels are immersed, bottom down, water pressure holds the disk in place. Used to show that the depth of the vessel when water is poured inside it, is independent of the shape of the vessel. (Special Order. Minimum order quantity is 100 sets. $25/set)
